Acorn Wood is situated adjacent to the Bersted Park estate, behind the Community Centre. It is just over an acre in size and is privately owned by Chris Tomkins, the local thatcher.
Street Country have sole access to use it for educational purposes. It is securely fenced and there is no public access.
The wood is a mixture of trees, shrubs and low growing plants with some beautiful mature trees. There is a stream running at the bottom of the wood, although it is not accessible. It is home to a range of flora and fauna, including some rare species.
The central area has a raised fire place and a log circle for seating. If the weather necessitates it, we can put up a large tarpaulin to provide some shelter.
We have access to the toilets in the spectator building next to the gate.
