Forest School Woodland Explorer for Schools

Forest SchoolSnails made out of wood is an organic, dynamic process which affirms who the children are, not just rewards what they can do.

The children come to the wood for a two hour session where they have the opportunity to engage with the natural world and learn new skills through taking part in activities which meet their individual learning and developmental needs. 

The children are encouraged to try new skills, manage risk and develop environmental responsibility which builds their self confidence and self esteem. Evidence has shown that this enables them to engage more effectively with classroom learning and improves their performance.
It is run by a qualified Forest School Leader.

Schools can book a six week programme for a maximum of 15 children.

ToMaking an animal home cater for a whole class, children could come on alternate weeks over a term.

Opportunities to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum can be provided.
Alternatively, it is possible to cater for a mixed age group of children who would particularly benefit from attending Forest School.

  • Campfire cooking
  • Conservation tasks

Cost: £150 for a 2 hour session for 15 children

Children can also experience Forest School through After School Clubs for primary school children.
After School Club caters for the 5 – 11 year olds.
